Focus and Deadlines

As part of the Youth Voice Journal’s Special Issues, the Guest Editor, Dr. Eduard Balashov, would like to invite you to submit theoretical contributions to “YOUNG PEOPLE IN EDUCATION”. All submitted articles that meet the special issue guidelines will go through a double-blind peer-review process.

The Special Issue will be published in January 2021. The deadline for article submissions is 1 August 2020. Authors are encouraged to contact the Guest Editor with a proposed title and a draft abstract by no later than 1 June 2020.

About the Journal 

The Youth Voice Journal (YVJ®) is the leading, international, multidisciplinary and double-blind peer-reviewed journal specialising in publishing theoretical contributions and empirical research on issues affecting young people all over the world.

The Youth Voice Journal (ISNN 2056-2969) is ranked and indexed by Scopus, ORCID, Kudos, EBSCO Information Services, The European Reference Index for the Humanities and the Social Sciences (ERIH PLUS) and Criminal Justice Abstracts. YVJ is also a member of COPE, ensuring we adhere to codes of conduct for journal editors.

The YVJ is managed by an independent Academic and Editorial Board and seeks to provide a reference source for academia, policymakers and youth services internationally.

YVJ™ aims include:

  • Create knowledge and contribute to the literature by publishing high-quality research on issues affecting young people
  • Establish and further develop the youth-led method for research and social policy
  • Provide a platform for the intellectual exchange of ideas around the globe with the aim of influencing policies and practices
  • Actively encourage and aide those young people whose voice is rarely heard by policymakers and academia to be published.

The Special issue

Young people all over the world today face unique challenges in a constantly evolving global society. In this upcoming issue the Youth Voice Journal will provide special attention upon the important role of youth in education, both as students and teachers; aspects of self-regulated learning; personal, cognitive and metacognitive aspects of the learning process and other important issues. As a result, we encourage innovate research and submissions centred on the views of young people on issues such as Young people’s views on Politics, Youth Identity and Youth led-research. Suggested topics: Youth in Higher Education; Young Leaders in University Management; Psychological Characteristics of Young University Teachers.

The Special Issues takes on an International scope, so papers from all over the world are welcome.

Editorial Policy 

If you wish and are interested in contributing to the YVJ, please consult our Author Guidelines and Editorial Policy outlining all the key information. We aim to have all manuscripts to be peer-reviewed within a 4-6 weeks’ time frame before being accepted for publication.

The Youth Voice Journal is published by RJ4All Publications, a branch of Restorative Justice for All (RJ4All) International Institute, which is an international NGO with a mission to advance community and social cohesion, and redistribute power within society at the local, national and international levels.
