Youth Voice Journal (YVJ) is an international, multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal that publishes theoretical contributions and empirical studies on international issues affecting young people. YVJ is published by IARS Publications, a member of COPE. YVJ is ranked and indexed by Scopus, ORCID, Kudos, Criminal Justice Abstracts, EBSCO Information Services and The European Reference Index for the Humanities and the Social Sciences (ERIH PLUS).

Internship: Youth Voice Journal Secretariat

An exciting opportunity has come up for a junior researcher to join the editorial team of the peer reviewed Youth Voice Journal and IARS Publications.

As the Secretariat for the Youth Voice Journal, your role will be key to the development of this peer reviewed publication as well as other books and magazines published by IARS Publications.

You will work directly with the Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Theo Gavrielides and his Editorial Assistant, Jack Bellamy, on the organisation, development and promotion of the Journal. Your day to day tasks will vary including: handle new submissions and ensure that they comply with the submission guidelines, register the journal with indexing services and research universities and educational institutions to identify opportunities for its the expansion and lead on building the new website for IARS Publications.

For this internship opportunity, we are looking for an ambitious junior researcher with genuine interest in promoting research and academic work. The right candidate will have excellent communication and organisation skills with ability to take initiatives, plan and prioritise work effectively. We are looking for a commitment of a minimum of 3 months. The role is flexible and can be carried out remotely with a minimum of 14 hours per week. Benefits include: out-of-pocket expenses such as travel and lunch when office based, opportunity to travel to other EU member states for training and conferences, accredited training at the IARS International Institute and YouthPass (where applicable). This is a voluntary position and not a consultancy.
